Prime Min­is­ter Dr Kei­th Row­ley has said he will spend the night aboard a Coast Guard ves­sel on pa­trol.

Dr Row­ley post­ed a pho­to on his Face­book page on­board the TTS Scar­bor­ough with Cap­tain Lt Com­man­der Ray Fred­er­ick and crew.

The post said Dr Row­ley will spend the night on the ves­sel.

He is ac­com­pa­nied by Min­is­ter of Na­tion­al Se­cu­ri­ty Fitzger­ald Hinds and Act­ing CDS Group Cap­tain Kem­ba Han­nays.

The TTS Scar­bor­ough, which is named af­ter the cap­i­tal of To­ba­go, Scar­bor­ough, is a Cape-class pa­trol boat of the Trinidad and To­ba­go Coast Guard.

A $126 mil­lion con­tract to build two Cape-Class pa­trol boats for the Trinidad and To­ba­go Coast Guard was award­ed to Austal in 2019.

The two boats, Scar­bor­ough and Port-of-Spain, were de­liv­ered in May 2021.

The two ves­sels were com­mis­sioned in­to the Trinidad and To­ba­go Coast Guard in No­vem­ber 2021 by Dr Row­ley.
