Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley has said he will spend the night aboard a Coast Guard vessel on patrol.
Dr Rowley posted a photo on his Facebook page onboard the TTS Scarborough with Captain Lt Commander Ray Frederick and crew.
The post said Dr Rowley will spend the night on the vessel.
He is accompanied by Minister of National Security Fitzgerald Hinds and Acting CDS Group Captain Kemba Hannays.
The TTS Scarborough, which is named after the capital of Tobago, Scarborough, is a Cape-class patrol boat of the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard.
A $126 million contract to build two Cape-Class patrol boats for the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard was awarded to Austal in 2019.
The two boats, Scarborough and Port-of-Spain, were delivered in May 2021.
The two vessels were commissioned into the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard in November 2021 by Dr Rowley.
