The PNM Tobago Council has opened nominations for candidates to contest the upcoming Tobago House of Assembly (THA) elections, which are constitutionally due in December 2025.
Political leader Ancil Dennis said this is more than just finding candidates—it’s about finding true leaders.
“This is not just about selecting candidates; it is about identifying leaders who will shape the future of Tobago. We are calling on men and women of integrity, vision, and heart to step forward. Tobago needs you now more than ever,” Dennis said.
In a statement issued by the Council’s executive this morning, the party invited “committed, community-driven individuals with a passion for public service” to offer themselves for selection in all 15 electoral districts.
Interested persons must submit a signed letter of consent addressed to the secretary of the relevant district party group, along with a detailed CV outlining their experience and community involvement.
Submissions can be delivered to the district secretaries or to the PNM Tobago Council Headquarters at Robinson Street, Scarborough.
The deadline for applications is May 28.
The party said it is currently undergoing a period of renewal and reorganization, and that the nomination process is a critical step in building a new, people-cantered team focused on progress, accountability, and delivery.
It added that it remains “committed to Tobago’s development” and is preparing to contest all seats when voters go to the polls later this year.
