Po­lice ar­rest­ed four peo­ple dur­ing a road check ex­er­cise con­duct­ed by the Dri­ving Un­der the In­flu­ence Task Force, Port of Spain Di­vi­sion yes­ter­day.

The ex­er­cise was con­duct­ed be­tween the hours of 11:45 pm and 4:00 am.

Of­fi­cers held a 39-year-old man of Pen­co Lodge, Ch­agua­nas. Po­lice say he was over the pre­scribed lim­it by 72 mg per 100 ml of breath. They al­so held a 56-year-old man of Seav­iew Gar­dens, who was over the lim­it by 56 mg per 100 ml of breath, a 17-year-old of Tacarigua, who was over the pre­scribed lim­it by 62 mg per 100 ml of breath and a 36 -year-old man of Ari­ma who was over the lim­it by 56 mg per 100 ml of breath.

The TTPS re­mind­ed cit­i­zens to des­ig­nate a dri­ver when go­ing out in­stead of drink­ing and dri­ving.
