A San Juan man was killed by of­fi­cers dur­ing a po­lice op­er­a­tion at Laven­tille Road, San Juan, around 4.50 am yes­ter­day.

Of­fi­cers as­signed to the North East­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force and the San Juan CID went to ex­e­cute a search war­rant at a house in Laven­tille Road, as they hunt­ed for Den­zil “Washy” Jack­son.

As they ar­rived at the lo­ca­tion, Jack­son re­port­ed­ly emerged with a gun in his hand and point­ed it at the of­fi­cers.

The of­fi­cers fired at Jack­son, who was hit sev­er­al times by the of­fi­cers.

The of­fi­cers took Jack­son to the Er­ic Williams Med­ical Sci­ences Com­plex in Mt Hope, where he lat­er suc­cumbed to his in­juries.
