Po­lice are cur­rent­ly at the scene of a mur­der at Ma­tu­ri­ta Road, Ari­ma where an el­der­ly man has been killed.

The vic­tim was iden­ti­fied as Richard Blanc, 56. He lived at Hill­top Dri­ve, Ma­tu­ri­ta.

Res­i­dents re­port­ed hear­ing gun­shots around 2 am to­day, but checks re­vealed noth­ing was amiss.

Blanc’s body was on­ly dis­cov­ered around 1 pm at the house.

Of­fi­cers have not yet es­tab­lished a mo­tive for the killing, and con­firmed Blanc was not known to po­lice.
