Of­fi­cers of the Stolen Ve­hi­cles Squad have re­cov­ered a stolen ve­hi­cle in Diego Mar­tin.

The TTPS says dur­ing an in­tel­li­gence-led ex­er­cise, con­duct­ed in the West­ern Di­vi­sion be­tween 8.45 am to 11.45 am yes­ter­day the of­fi­cers pro­ceed­ed to St. Lu­cien Road, Diego Mar­tin. There they ob­served a sil­ver Toy­ota Aqua ve­hi­cle, parked on the road­way.

The of­fi­cers made dili­gent checks, aimed at iden­ti­fy­ing the own­er, which proved fu­tile.

In­ves­ti­ga­tions re­vealed that the car bore false num­ber plates. Ad­di­tion­al checks al­so re­vealed that the ve­hi­cle was the sub­ject of a bur­glary in­ci­dent which oc­curred on April 30 in the San­ta Cruz dis­trict.

The ve­hi­cle was seized and con­veyed to the San­ta Cruz Po­lice Sta­tion for pro­cess­ing by the Crim­i­nal In­ves­ti­ga­tions De­part­ment.
