Po­lice are try­ing to lo­cate a 17-year-old moth­er and her one-year-old ba­by, who went miss­ing from a Home for Women and Chil­dren in South Oropouche last Thurs­day.

Po­lice said that around 8.15 pm, a care­giv­er at the fa­cil­i­ty saw the teenage moth­er on the com­pound tak­ing out garbage while hold­ing her ba­by.

Short­ly af­ter­wards, she was seen on the CCTV sys­tem climb­ing over a wall with the child and then walk­ing along the road.

Since then, care­tak­ers at the fa­cil­i­ty have not seen or heard from her.

The ba­by was wear­ing a white top and pam­pers.

Po­lice vis­it­ed the scene and in­ter­viewed res­i­dents, but no use­ful in­for­ma­tion was ob­tained re­gard­ing her where­abouts.
