Southern Division Task Force (SDTF) officers arrested three individuals and recovered a stolen vehicle and vehicle parts during operations on Saturday.
Around 5:30 pm officers executed a search warrant for stolen articles at a garage located at 6th Company Village, Indian Walk, Princes Town. Officers found and seized two Hyundai/Kia engines, two cabs, and one tray belonging to Hyundai H100 vehicles. Two self-employed straighteners, aged 51 and 49, were arrested and taken to the San Fernando Police Station.
Earlier that day, officers intercepted a vehicle bearing false plates, traveling south along the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway, near the Torouba Overpass. Checks were made to ascertain the correct registration of the vehicle and it was revealed to be stolen from the St. Clair district on 26th August, 2023. The driver, a 22-year-old from Gulf View, La Romain, was arrested. Enquiries are continuing.
