Police seized Prison Service uniform during exercise

An an­ti-crime ex­er­cise con­duct­ed by East­ern Di­vi­sion Po­lice on In­di­an Ar­rival Day re­sult­ed in the seizure of uni­forms be­long­ing to the Trinidad and To­ba­go Prison Ser­vice.

Re­ports say of­fi­cers ex­e­cut­ed a search war­rant at the home of a man at Blake Av­enue, San­gre Grande for Firearms and am­mu­ni­tion.

Noth­ing il­le­gal was found how­ev­er a quan­ti­ty of kha­ki cloth­ing re­sem­bling the uni­form of the T&T Prison Ser­vice and a kha­ki-coloured for­age cap with the T&T Prison Ser­vice lo­go at­tached to the front of the cap was found and seized.

He was ar­rest­ed and tak­en to the San­gre Grande Po­lice Sta­tion

Po­lice say dur­ing the same ex­er­cise the par­ty of of­fi­cers ex­e­cut­ed three search war­rants at a home in Williams Dri­ve Junc­tion Trace,San­gre Grande.

Po­lice re­port­ed­ly found 292 grams of mar­i­jua­na.

The home­own­er was ar­rest­ed and charged with Pos­ses­sion of cannabis.
