A 44-year-old man, who was re­port­ed miss­ing on Mon­day, was found dead yes­ter­day morn­ing in Pe­tit Bourg.

Po­lice said Don­ny Dick, a res­i­dent of Beat­rice Street in Cou­va, was last seen by his wife around 5:30 pm on Mon­day. His gold-coloured Ti­i­da ve­hi­cle was lo­cat­ed in the Mount Hope area on Tues­day, rais­ing con­cerns about his safe­ty.

How­ev­er, around 9 yes­ter­day morn­ing res­i­dents of Irv­ing Street, Pe­tit Bourg saw Dick ly­ing dead in a yard.

He ap­peared to have been shot.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors sus­pect that rob­bery was the mo­tive be­hind his mur­der. They are urg­ing any­one with in­for­ma­tion to come for­ward and con­tact the po­lice via 555, 999, or 800-TIPS. 

Shoot­ing leaves 2 in­jured

Two men were shot and wound­ed on Tues­day night in Diego Mar­tin.

Po­lice said at 9.50 pm two men - a 49-year-old from Up­per Covi­gne Road, and a 27-year-old from Su­perville, Quar­ry Road, were both shot while near a liquor mart.

Po­lice said res­i­dents re­port­ed hear­ing sev­er­al gun­shots and saw two men get­ting in­to a ve­hi­cle and dri­ving away.

The two vic­tims were tak­en to the St James Med­ical Fa­cil­i­ty for treat­ment. 

Woman stabbed while asleep

Po­lice are search­ing for sus­pects in con­nec­tion with a stab­bing and chop­ping on Sun­day.

In Ari­ma, a 41-year-old woman was stabbed while sleep­ing at her Tumpuna Road home. Po­lice said around 2 am the woman was asleep and awoke to find a man stab­bing her in her arms and hands. She man­aged to run by neigh­bours who con­tact­ed the po­lice. She was be­ing treat­ed at the Er­ic Williams Med­ical Sci­ences Com­plex.

In a sep­a­rate in­ci­dent, around 11 pm in Dins­ley Vil­lage, Tacarigua, a teenag­er was chopped by a man near a burg­er cart. His broth­er had been mak­ing a pur­chase mo­ments be­fore when he got in­to a con­fronta­tion with an­oth­er man. The teen was chopped on the hand and tak­en to hos­pi­tal.
