President Christine Kangaloo will make her highly anticipated inaugural visit to Tobago on Wednesday.
The President will meet with members of the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) at the Assembly Legislature Chamber, uptown Scarborough, Guardian Media was reliably informed. She will for the first time, formally address members of THA and the Tobago public.
However, one member of the THA informed Guardian Media Limited that they have no intention of attending the event.
The visit comes after Kangaloo was formally sworn in as the seventh president, and second female to serve as president, of Trinidad and Tobago on March 20 in a historic ceremony at the Queen’s Park Savannah. Kangaloo, a former President of the Senate, was elected on January 20 by the Electoral College.
