Pres­i­dent Chris­tine Kan­ga­loo will make her high­ly an­tic­i­pat­ed in­au­gur­al vis­it to To­ba­go on Wednes­day.

The Pres­i­dent will meet with mem­bers of the To­ba­go House of As­sem­bly (THA) at the As­sem­bly Leg­is­la­ture Cham­ber, up­town Scar­bor­ough, Guardian Me­dia was re­li­ably in­formed. She will for the first time, for­mal­ly ad­dress mem­bers of THA and the To­ba­go pub­lic.

How­ev­er, one mem­ber of the THA in­formed Guardian Me­dia Lim­it­ed that they have no in­ten­tion of at­tend­ing the event.

The vis­it comes af­ter Kan­ga­loo was for­mal­ly sworn in as the sev­enth pres­i­dent, and sec­ond fe­male to serve as pres­i­dent, of Trinidad and To­ba­go on March 20 in a his­toric cer­e­mo­ny at the Queen’s Park Sa­van­nah. Kan­ga­loo, a for­mer Pres­i­dent of the Sen­ate, was elect­ed on Jan­u­ary 20 by the Elec­toral Col­lege.
