A Princes Town man is sched­uled to ap­pear at the San Fer­nan­do Mag­is­trates’ Court on Mon­day af­ter be­ing charged for Shop Break­ing and Lar­ce­ny. Chris Bal­li­ram, 31, of Jones Street, Garth Road, Princes Town was charged for the of­fence fol­low­ing an in­ci­dent that was re­port­ed on No­vem­ber 20, 2023, at the San Fer­nan­do Po­lice Sta­tion.

Ac­cord­ing to a po­lice re­port, around 1 pm on No­vem­ber 18, 2023, a sales clerk at a plant shop lo­cat­ed on St. James Street, San Fer­nan­do, locked and se­cured the premis­es be­fore leav­ing. She re­turned at 8:15 am on No­vem­ber 20, 2023, and dis­cov­ered a win­dow on the east­ern side of the build­ing bro­ken.

Checks re­vealed a quan­ti­ty of snacks and drinks val­ued at TT$350.00 miss­ing. PC Raghoo­nanan con­tin­ued en­quiries which led to the ar­rest of Bal­li­ram who was sub­se­quent­ly charged for the of­fence.
