Po­lice are search­ing for three men who robbed an off-du­ty prison of­fi­cer of his car, which was lat­er re­cov­ered in Laven­tille.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice, around 11:25 pm on Wednes­day, the 34-year-old vic­tim of Ci­ca­da Av­enue, La Hor­quet­ta, was work­ing as a Rideshare dri­ver with his sil­ver Hon­da City when he was robbed.

The man, along with his pas­sen­ger, was at Moo­sai Dri­ve off the East­ern Main Road, El Do­ra­do, when a sil­ver Nis­san Ti­i­da stopped and three masked gun­men got out and de­mand­ed that the two ex­it the ve­hi­cle.

The men then drove off with the of­fi­cer’s $79,000 car and the woman’s cell­phone, which she had left in the ve­hi­cle.

The cell­phone was traced, and the car was found aban­doned around 12:45 am the next morn­ing by mem­bers of the In­ter-Agency Task Force at Agos­ti­ni Street, Laven­tille.
