A TT Rideshare dri­ver was kid­napped and robbed of his car and valu­able, af­ter he ac­cept­ed a job to pick up three men at Ja­cob Hill, Waller­field, on Wednes­day night.

The 57-year-old, who lives in Ari­ma, was near the Har­mon­ic Gas Sta­tion, Tumpuna North, in his black Nis­san Wingroad when he re­ceived the no­ti­fi­ca­tion around 10.15 pm.

Ac­cept­ing the job to col­lect the men, the dri­ver met the al­leged cus­tomers at the lo­ca­tion.
It was re­port­ed that as soon as the sus­pects en­tered the car, one man pulled out a gun and or­dered the dri­ver to climb over in­to the back seat and lie on the floor.

The dri­ver was sub­se­quent­ly beat­en as the kid­nap­pers drove to Blan­chisseuse Road.
When the ban­dits stopped the car, the dri­ver was or­dered out and told to run down a precipice as the dri­ver sped off.

The vic­tim then sought help from near­by res­i­dents and was tak­en to the Tu­na­puna Po­lice Sta­tion where he made a re­port.
