A TT Rideshare driver was kidnapped and robbed of his car and valuable, after he accepted a job to pick up three men at Jacob Hill, Wallerfield, on Wednesday night.
The 57-year-old, who lives in Arima, was near the Harmonic Gas Station, Tumpuna North, in his black Nissan Wingroad when he received the notification around 10.15 pm.
Accepting the job to collect the men, the driver met the alleged customers at the location.
It was reported that as soon as the suspects entered the car, one man pulled out a gun and ordered the driver to climb over into the back seat and lie on the floor.
The driver was subsequently beaten as the kidnappers drove to Blanchisseuse Road.
When the bandits stopped the car, the driver was ordered out and told to run down a precipice as the driver sped off.
The victim then sought help from nearby residents and was taken to the Tunapuna Police Station where he made a report.
Investigations are continuing.
