A 39-year-old Arou­ca man was robbed on Sun­day while wait­ing to pur­chase a cell­phone from some­one he met on Face­book Mar­ket­place.

Po­lice re­port­ed that at 4.30 pm the man went to the cor­ner of Mendez Road, Dar­will Gar­dens, Ari­ma to buy the iPhone 12 Pro that was ad­ver­tised on Face­book.

The vic­tim told po­lice that while wait­ing on the per­son he was sup­posed to pur­chase the phone from, two men ap­proached him and re­lieved him of $3,000 a Sam­sung S21 worth $2,700 and his house keys.

Af­ter be­ing robbed, he was told to leave the area and re­port­ed the mat­ter to the Ari­ma Po­lice Sta­tion.
