David Roberts has resigned from the post of Chief Executive Officer at state-owned Trinidad and Tobago Television (TTT) and he has moved on to a public service job.
This was confirmed after Roberts resigned on Tuesday, officials said.
He had been TTT's CEO for approximately two and a half years, it's understood.
Sources said Roberts has gone on to a public service job in a section of the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM). Roberts didn't answer calls yesterday.
It has been confirmed that someone will be appointed to act as TTT's CEO until a recruitment process for the post is done and someone is appointed as CEO permanently.
Up to Wednesday, persons at TTT answering the phone were still describing Roberts as the station's CEO.
The post of TTT CEO was previously held by Lisa Wickham and also at another point, by Wendell Constantine.
There was no reply yesterday from Government officials on what Roberts' duties at the OPM's (Communications) section are. However, sources said it is a senior position.
