A 40-year-old San­gre Grande man had to dive for cov­er when he was shot at by a gun­man near his home on Fri­day night.

Po­lice said the men got in­to an ar­gu­ment on Walke Street, San­gre Grande, around 10 PM.

How­ev­er, one of the men left the sus­pect on the street and re­turned to his home.

The man lat­er re­port­ed see­ing the sus­pect near his home hold­ing a gun and fir­ing it.

Po­lice were called in and of­fi­cers of the San­gre Grande CID were called in and found a spent shell of 9mm am­mu­ni­tion.

Of­fi­cers are ex­pect­ed to view CCTV footage of the in­ci­dent as part of their en­quiries.
