The Supermarket Association of Trinidad and Tobago (SATT) has assured the public that there is no need for panic buying despite recent news reports.
In a statement issued today, SATT said its members remain well stocked and supply chains continue to operate normally.
“We urge customers to shop responsibly, as this helps ensure that everyone in our communities can access the goods they need,” the release stated.
It added that supermarkets across the country are working closely with suppliers to maintain consistent availability of all products, including essential items.
SATT thanked the public for their continued calm and cooperation.
