The Su­per­mar­ket As­so­ci­a­tion of Trinidad and To­ba­go (SATT) has as­sured the pub­lic that there is no need for pan­ic buy­ing de­spite re­cent news re­ports.

In a state­ment is­sued to­day, SATT said its mem­bers re­main well stocked and sup­ply chains con­tin­ue to op­er­ate nor­mal­ly.

“We urge cus­tomers to shop re­spon­si­bly, as this helps en­sure that every­one in our com­mu­ni­ties can ac­cess the goods they need,” the re­lease stat­ed.

It added that su­per­mar­kets across the coun­try are work­ing close­ly with sup­pli­ers to main­tain con­sis­tent avail­abil­i­ty of all prod­ucts, in­clud­ing es­sen­tial items.

SATT thanked the pub­lic for their con­tin­ued calm and co­op­er­a­tion.
