Stu­dents are ex­pect­ed to re­turn to class­es as nor­mal on Wednes­day. 

Min­is­ter of Rur­al De­vel­op­ment and Lo­cal Gov­ern­ment, Faris Al-Rawi says, “With the sit­u­a­tion of down­grade we are still in alert mode - but with no gov­ern­ment, an­nounce­ments schools are still in gear for to­mor­row un­less ad­vised oth­er­wise”. 

Schools were closed on Tues­day, ex­cept for stu­dents writ­ing ex­ams, in an­tic­i­pa­tion of se­vere weath­er across the coun­try. 

How­ev­er, the Trop­i­cal Storm Warn­ing was dis­con­tin­ued tonight. An Ad­verse Weath­er Alert - yel­low lev­el - re­mains in ef­fect un­til 6 p.m. on Wednes­day. 

The Di­vi­sion of Ed­u­ca­tion, Re­search and Tech­nol­o­gy has al­ready ad­vised that schools in To­ba­go will re­main closed and class­es are ex­pect­ed to re­sume on Thurs­day.
