The search for missing Charlotteville man Michael Yeates came to an end yesterday morning when his body was found floating in the waters off Bottom Bay.
Police said around 6.30 am, a man called the Charlotteville Police Station after spotting what appeared to be a body drifting approximately 150 feet from the shoreline.
Fisherman Anthony Jack and others responded and brought the body to shore at Max Lane, Campbleton.
The body was later identified as 31-year-old Michael Yeates of Campbleton Road, Charlotteville. His aunt, Verilyn Yeates, confirmed the identity.
Yeates had been reported missing at sea over the weekend.
Police are continuing investigations into the suspected drowning.
