Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the sud­den death of a law firm sec­re­tary who was found dead at her of­fice.

Po­lice re­ports say at around 11:20 last night a re­port of body found in­side Roop­nar­ine and Com­pa­ny Law Cham­bers lo­cat­ed at 9a Lord Street San Fer­nan­do was made to the San Fer­nan­do Po­lice Sta­tion.

It was iden­ti­fied as Tr­isha Ra­goonath, 39.

Po­lice were told by one of the at­tor­neys that Ra­goonath was last seen do­ing pa­per work at around 3:30 pm.

Her fi­ance re­port­ed that he made sev­er­al ef­forts to com­mu­ni­cate with her af­ter 3:30pm with­out suc­cess.

Af­ter mak­ing sev­er­al checks with he and her sis­ter checked her work­place and up­on their ar­rival at 10:50pm they ob­served her ve­hi­cle parked in the car park.

They forced en­try in­to the of­fice and found Ra­goonath's body on the ground.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors say the body bore no vis­i­ble marks of vi­o­lence.
