A 29-year-old se­cu­ri­ty of­fi­cer was killed when his car ran off the road and crashed in­to the gate of a house in Fyz­abad yes­ter­day.

Travis Jack, of John Jules Trace, Fyz­abad, would have cel­e­brat­ed his 30th birth­day on April 29.

Around 1.40 pm, he was dri­ving a black Hon­da Civic along Guapo Road, Fyz­abad, when he lost con­trol of the car and it hit a garbage bin and the edge of a con­crete post then flipped. The front gate of the house and a white Nis­san Lau­rel parked in the yard were dam­aged in the crash.

An eye­wit­ness said it took more than an hour for an am­bu­lance to ar­rive at the scene. Jack was even­tu­al­ly tak­en to the Siparia Health Fa­cil­i­ty where he died.
