Two Mal­abar men were stabbed dur­ing a con­fronta­tion over a stolen phone at a bar on Fri­day night.

Po­lice said the men, ages 34 and 38, were lim­ing at a bar on Mal­abar Ex­ten­sion Road around 11.10 pm when a man ac­cused them of steal­ing his phone.

He pulled out a knife and stabbed both vic­tims in their arms and neck be­fore run­ning away.

Pa­trons took the in­jured men to hos­pi­tal, where they re­mained up to Sat­ur­day morn­ing.

Ear­li­er that day in Va­len­cia, a man was shot at his home fol­low­ing an ar­gu­ment over scrap iron.

Po­lice said the vic­tim was at his Tat­too Trace home around 1.20 pm when he ar­gued with a neigh­bour about the sale of scrap iron. The neigh­bour re­port­ed­ly left, re­turned with a gun, and shot him in the chest be­fore es­cap­ing.

Of­fi­cers of the East­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force took the wound­ed man to hos­pi­tal. Po­lice lat­er ar­rest­ed a 27-year-old sus­pect with a pis­tol and a 5.56 shell cas­ing. He is ex­pect­ed to be ques­tioned and charged.
