Two Malabar men were stabbed during a confrontation over a stolen phone at a bar on Friday night.
Police said the men, ages 34 and 38, were liming at a bar on Malabar Extension Road around 11.10 pm when a man accused them of stealing his phone.
He pulled out a knife and stabbed both victims in their arms and neck before running away.
Patrons took the injured men to hospital, where they remained up to Saturday morning.
Earlier that day in Valencia, a man was shot at his home following an argument over scrap iron.
Police said the victim was at his Tattoo Trace home around 1.20 pm when he argued with a neighbour about the sale of scrap iron. The neighbour reportedly left, returned with a gun, and shot him in the chest before escaping.
Officers of the Eastern Division Task Force took the wounded man to hospital. Police later arrested a 27-year-old suspect with a pistol and a 5.56 shell casing. He is expected to be questioned and charged.
