A 15-year-old boy, who was dropped off at the hos­pi­tal around mid­night on Tues­day has suc­cumbed to his in­juries.

Po­lice of­fi­cers are now try­ing to lo­cate the per­son who dropped him off at the Ac­ci­dent and Emer­gency De­part­ment of the Er­ic Williams Med­ical Sci­ences Com­plex around mid­night on Tues­day.

The teen has been iden­ti­fied as Jae­don McIn­tire of Mt Hope Road, Mt Hope.

McIn­tire, po­lice said, suc­cumbed to his in­juries at about 1.35 am on Tues­day.

Ac­cord­ing to a po­lice re­port, around mid­night on Tues­day of­fi­cers of St. Joseph CID re­ceived a call from the Ac­ci­dent and Emer­gency De­part­ment that a young male was dropped off by an un­known per­son and that he had a gun­shot wound to the back and was un­re­spon­sive.

Po­lice of­fi­cers who vis­it­ed the hos­pi­tal sub­se­quent­ly in­ter­viewed a rel­a­tive of the teen, who was at hos­pi­tal at the time.

The rel­a­tive claimed that the fam­i­ly was un­aware of where he might have been when he was shot, with whom or who dropped him off.
