A 37-year-old con­struc­tion work­er was ar­rest­ed yes­ter­day af­ter po­lice found a shot­gun hid­den in a tree trunk in Fyz­abad.

Of­fi­cers searched the man’s home at Bam­boo Trace, Pep­per Vil­lage, but found noth­ing il­le­gal. Af­ter ques­tion­ing, he led them to a bushy area about 350 feet be­hind his house, where he point­ed out a hol­lowed tree. In­side, they dis­cov­ered a shot­gun wrapped in a black garbage bag.

The man does not have a firearm li­cence. He was tak­en in­to cus­tody along with the weapon.
