Re­gion­al news out­lets are re­port­ing that so­ca star Ri­car­do Drue has died.

Guardian Me­dia un­der­stands that the 38-year-old artiste was pro­nounced dead at about noon to­day, at the Sir Lester Bird Med­ical Cen­tre, in St John’s, An­tigua and Bar­bu­da.

Drue was found un­re­spon­sive in his room and rushed to the hos­pi­tal. De­tails as to the cause of his death have not yet been con­firmed.

The so­ca artiste was sched­uled to fly out of the is­land [An­tigua] lat­er this af­ter­noon.
