A 34-year-old Lance Cor­po­ral was grant­ed bail with a sure­ty in the sum of $75,000 when he ap­peared be­fore a Ch­agua­nas Mag­is­trate, charged with As­sault Oc­ca­sion­ing Ac­tu­al Bod­i­ly Harm.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports on Sat­ur­day 9th April 2022, around 7.00 pm, the vic­tim was at home in her bed­room with the ac­cused when they had an ar­gu­ment.

The TTPS says the ac­cused be­came en­raged and re­port­ed­ly be­gan cuff­ing the vic­tim in her stom­ach, and then be­gan chok­ing her whilst al­leged­ly threat­en­ing to kill her.

A re­port was made to the Ch­agua­nas Po­lice Sta­tion and the Spe­cial Vic­tims Unit was con­tact­ed and an in­ves­ti­ga­tion was launched in­to the mat­ter.

He was ar­rest­ed and charged on Thurs­day 13th April 2023.

He is ex­pect­ed to reap­pear in court on May 25th, 2023.
