A 27-year-old soldier was robbed of his car in Cunupia on Sunday night. At the time of the robbery, the vehicle contained several pieces of Regiment-issued equipment.
Police said the soldier and a 25-year-old hairdresser were in a silver Kia Sonnata on Marshall Trace, at around 11:10 pm on Sunday, when they were confronted by two gunmen who demanded cash and valuables.
One of the bandits stole the soldier's mobile phone and car keys.
Inside the car was a camouflage bulletproof vest, a camouflage jacket, a pair of camouflage trousers and a pair of combat boots.
The bandits also stole $1,500 cash from the hairdresser, before escaping in the soldier's car.
Central Division police, together with officers of the Stolen Vehicle Squad and the Cyber Crime Unit, are continuing enquiries.
