SRP robbed in home invasion

A Spe­cial Re­serve Po­lice of­fi­cer and his fe­male rel­a­tive were among six peo­ple robbed dur­ing a home in­va­sion on Sun­day night.

The two in­trud­ers es­caped with sev­er­al items, in­clud­ing the of­fi­cer’s TTPS Iden­ti­fi­ca­tion Card and badge, $300 and his cell­phone val­ued at $1,500.

Po­lice said around 8.30 pm, the of­fi­cer and his rel­a­tive were vis­it­ing friends in Soledad Road, Clax­ton Bay. Po­lice said the cou­ple was un­der a shed at the home of the oth­er four vic­tims, in­clud­ing two women, when the ban­dits en­tered the premis­es. One of the in­trud­ers was armed with a gun. The ban­dits stole their cell­phones, a lap­top, cash, a Sony PlaySta­tion 5, a UWI ID card and a bunch of keys.

The vic­tims’ hands were tied with pieces of cloth and forced to lie on the ground as the house was ran­sacked.

When the ban­dits left, the vic­tims un­tied them­selves and called the po­lice.
