St Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Parish in Sangre Grande marked Good Friday with its annual Stations of the Cross procession, drawing parishioners of all ages to reflect on the events leading to Christ’s crucifixion.
Young Gabriel Augustus took on the role of Jesus, leading the solemn journey through the parish’s streets in a moving reenactment of the Passion. The church choir accompanied the procession, singing hymns and guiding worshippers along the route.
Parish priest Fr Steve Duncan commended the congregation for their participation, offering special praise to the members of the youth and young adults ministry who assumed key roles in the dramatization.
Officers from the Sangre Grande Police Station were present throughout the event, ensuring the safety and security of both participants and spectators.
