A 31-year-old man from St James was stabbed to death in downtown Port-of-Spain on Friday night.
According to reports, around 10 pm, Jabari Phillip, of Benares Street, St James, parked near the corner of Henry Street and Independence Square and got out.
Phillip had a brief argument with a man, who was standing at the side of the road.
The man pulled out a knife and stabbed Phillip once in his chest before running away.
A passerby who came to Phillip’s assistance placed him in his car and drove to the Accident and Emergency Department of the Port-of-Spain General Hospital.
He was pronounced dead on arrival.
Phillip’s attacker was not arrested, up to late yesterday.
Detectives of the Region One Homicide Bureau are continuing investigations.
