A St. Joseph man is expected to appear before a Port of Spain Magistrate today, charged with the murder of Stephon Garrick, which occurred on Tuesday 15 November 2022.
A release from the Police Service says Christopher Francois, 25, of Abercromby Street, also was charged with attempted murder, shooting with intent and possession of firearm and ammunition, following advice received from Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard SC, on Monday 28 November 2022.
Garrick, 40 of Barataria, was in the company of two other men at Santa Cruz Old Road, San Juan, on November15, when several loud explosions were heard. The victim died at the scene, while the other two men, who sustained gunshot wounds, were taken to hospital for treatment.
A male suspect—Christopher Francois—was arrested on November 26, by officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (Region Two), in the St. Joseph district,
Investigations were supervised by ASP Douglas, W/Insp. Sylvester, Insp. Ramjag and Sgt. Radhaykissoon also of HBI Region Two.
Francois was charged with the offences yesterday (November 29) by WPC Sargeant, of HBI Region Two.
