Supply disruption to parts of North East Trinidad

Res­i­dents of parts of North East Trinidad—from Arou­ca to San­gre Grande—will have their cur­rent wa­ter sup­ply dis­rup­tion sort­ed out by tonight.

An ad­vi­so­ry from the Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty ex­plains that emer­gency re­pair works cur­rent­ly are un­der­way at the North Oropouche Wa­ter Treat­ment Plant, which has ex­pe­ri­enced a pow­er fail­ure caused by fall­en trees on the elec­tri­cal ca­bles at the fa­cil­i­ty.

WASA ex­plains the dis­rup­tion in their pipe borne wa­ter sup­ply should come to an end with the com­ple­tion of emer­gency re­pairs by 6:00 pm to­day, Sun­day 27th Sep­tem­ber 2020.

Cus­tomers are ad­vised that it may take up to 24 hours for the ser­vice to nor­mal­ize to some af­fect­ed ar­eas, in ac­cor­dance with pipe borne wa­ter sup­ply sched­ules.

●  Guaico ●  Man­zanil­la

●  La Hor­quet­ta ●  Omeara

●  Mal­abar ●  San Raphael
