A Morvant man charged with the double murder of two men appeared before the Port of Spain Magistrates’ Court
yesterday.
Hassan Mohammed, 36, was charged with the murder of Randy Woods, 30, and Nathaniel Cravador, 18, which occurred on September 20.
Mohammed, of Never Dirty Road, Morvant, was charged with the offences following advice received from Director of Public Prosecutions Roger Gaspard, SC, on Monday.
The victims; Woods, aka ‘Ashes’ and ‘Fifty’, and 18-year-old Cravador, aka ‘Baba’, both of Never Dirty Road, Morvant, were found lying in the roadway along Gerbera Avenue, Coconut Drive, Morvant, around 12.20pm on with multiple gunshot wounds. The men were taken to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital for medical treatment, where they later succumbed to their injuries.
Mohammed was arrested at his home by officers attached to the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region 2, on October 3. He will reappear in court later this month.
