Minister of Finance, Dave Tancoo, presented instruments of appointment to new members of the Board of Directors of the National Lotteries Control Board on Monday.
The Government has approved the following appointments to the Board: Ken Emrith, Chairman; Mohanie Ramnarine; Clarence Jagroopsingh; Parasram Brian Maharaj; Adam Razack; Harandé Elie; Curley Kesar; and Brenda John.
Tancoo formally handed over the instruments during a brief ceremony. He expressed appreciation to the members of the Board for their willingness to serve.
The new Board will oversee the operations of the National Lotteries Control Board, which manages the administration and regulation of games of chance under its jurisdiction. The appointments take immediate effect.
The Minister also extended thanks to outgoing members of the Board for their service to the people of Trinidad and Tobago. He noted the importance of continuity and accountability in the oversight of state enterprises.
The new board is expected to continue efforts to improve governance, transparency, and efficiency within the operations of the NLCB.
