A 15-year-old La Romaine High School student was hospitalised in critical condition on Tuesday after he and four schoolmates reportedly ingested an unknown substance.
According to reports, around 10.50 am, police officers assigned to the school noticed the teenager behaving erratically after consuming the substance. He was taken to the staff room, where he collapsed. The school immediately contacted his mother, who took him to the San Fernando General Hospital.
Doctors later transferred him to the Intensive Care Unit, where he was last reported to be in stable condition.
Investigators learned that four other students, ages 15 to 17, also consumed the substance. They were taken to hospital for evaluation but were not admitted and remained in stable condition.
