Teen girl, two men seriously injured in Sando drive-by shooting

A teenage girl and two young men re­main hos­pi­talised fol­low­ing a dri­ve-by shoot­ing on Thurs­day night in San Fer­nan­do.

Po­lice said one of the vic­tims is in crit­i­cal con­di­tion, while the oth­ers were se­ri­ous­ly in­jured.

The vic­tims, along with oth­er peo­ple, were stand­ing op­po­site La Pique Plaza when a black Toy­ota Axio pulled up around 10.35 pm.

Ac­cord­ing to the po­lice, two oc­cu­pants from the ve­hi­cle, wear­ing ski masks, came out and opened fire.

The po­lice re­spond­ed and took the vic­tims to the San Fer­nan­do Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal, where they are be­ing treat­ed.

Po­lice gave their names as Trent Ram­per­sad, 22, Kayde Green, 18 and Mar­quise Ifill, 22.

Ram­per­sad, of St Joseph Vil­lage, San Fer­nan­do, was shot mul­ti­ple times and is a crit­i­cal con­di­tion. Greene, of Pe­nal, was shot in her leg while Ifill, 22, of San Fer­nan­do, sus­tained wounds to his shoul­der, leg, low­er ab­domen and hip. Ifill and Green were said to be in sta­ble con­di­tion.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors are still try­ing to de­ter­mine a mo­tive for the shoot­ing.
