With the declaration of the start of the wet season yesterday and with the hurricane season beginning on June 1, the Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) is seeking to get the Tobago population ready in the event of natural disasters.
Residents on the island have been impacted in recent years by landslides and slippages, blocked roads, blown-off roofs and occasional flooding.
In light of this, TEMA officials were on the streets of Scarborough in recent days sharing disaster information with the public.
TEMA's corporate communications officer Zynara Llewellyn said the drive is to ensure residents are prepared.
