A male THA em­ploy­ee and his girl­friend were held and charged for the pos­ses­sion of a firearm.

The dis­cov­ery was made at a house lo­cat­ed at Rise­land Trace, Carn­bee on Thurs­day.

The joint ex­er­cise was con­duct­ed by the Spe­cial In­ves­ti­ga­tions Unit (SIU)- To­ba­go Sub-Of­fice and the To­ba­go Di­vi­sion­al Task Force.

Guardian Me­dia un­der­stands that one Smith and Wes­son pis­tol was found in the bath­room of the house. The se­r­i­al num­ber was al­so filed off.

The man 27, is an em­ploy­ee for the Di­vi­sion of Agri­cul­ture, un­der the To­ba­go House of As­sem­bly, while his girl­friend 21, of Or­ange Hill Road, Bethel, is an em­ploy­ee of D&D Jew­el­ers.

They were both ar­rest­ed.

This is the first firearm found in To­ba­go for 2020.
