Three sus­pects were ar­rest­ed in the North Cen­tral Di­vi­sion af­ter of­fi­cers seized firearms, am­mu­ni­tion and co­caine, dur­ing ex­er­cis­es con­duct­ed on Mon­day 9 Oc­to­ber, 2023.

The TTPS said dur­ing an in­tel­li­gence-led ex­er­cise, held in the Mal­abar dis­trict be­tween 3 pm and 7 pm yes­ter­day, of­fi­cers con­duct­ed sur­veil­lance and in­ter­cept­ed a Ti­i­da mo­tor ve­hi­cle with two oc­cu­pants on search­ing the ve­hi­cle, they re­port­ed­ly found a nine-mil­lime­tre Luger Cal­i­bre Pis­tol along with one mag­a­zine, 15 rounds of nine-mil­lime­tre am­mu­ni­tion and one pair of sil­ver hand­cuffs.

Both men were ar­rest­ed and the items were seized.

Al­so, while pro­ceed­ing west along Greaves Street, Tu­na­puna, of­fi­cers ob­served a man act­ing in a sus­pi­cious man­ner. The of­fi­cers stopped and searched the man and al­leged­ly found one Pis­tol, 15 rounds of nine-mil­lime­tre am­mu­ni­tion and 8.5 grams of co­caine. The of­fi­cers took pos­ses­sion of the items and the 23-year-old man of St Au­gus­tine was ar­rest­ed and charged.
