Three men, ages 19, 20, and 24 appeared virtually before Magistrate Maureen Baboolal-Gafoor at the Port of Spain Magistrates’ Court charged with robbery with violence and larceny of Dwelling House.
Brian Sampson, 19, of El Socorro, Tyreek Romeo, 20, of Morvant, and Shannon Joseph, 24, of Laventille Extension, Morvant, were arrested and charged on May 9th.Officers of the North Eastern Division conducted enquiries into the reports of larceny of a dwelling house on February 9th and robbery with violence on May 6th.
The investigations led police to arrest the three suspects during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the North Eastern Division between May 7th, 2021 and May 9th, 2021.
The exercise was coordinated by Snr. Supt. Winston Maharaj, Supt Ramjohn, ASP Beharry, and Insp Beharry. Sampson and Joseph were remanded into custody for the offence of robbery with violence, while Romeo is expected to reappear at the Port of Spain Magistrates’ Court today.
