Three men appeared virtually before a Chaguanas Magistrate and were charged with warehouse breaking and larceny, two of which were granted bail in the sum of $200,000, while the other remanded into custody. Details follow in this press release from the TTPS:
Two men were granted bail and another remanded into custody yesterday after appearing virtually before a Chaguanas Magistrate jointly charged with warehouse breaking and larceny.
AARON HOSEIN, 26, of Bhagna Trace, Chase Village, and VIDESH DULCHAN, 21, of Temple Street, El Socorro South, San Juan were both granted $200,000 bail with a surety. Meanwhile, RYAN BOODOO, 36, of Hibiscus Lane, Charlieville, Chaguanas, was denied bail.
The men will reappear before the court on November 21st, 2021. At 11.45 am on October 25th, 2021, a warehouse owner reported to officers of the Freeport Police Station that the manager of the warehouse located in Chase Village secured the business place on at 5.00 pm on October 22nd and went way.
The owner was later contacted and informed that the warehouse was broken into. Further checks revealed that a quantity of cell phones were missing. No one was given permission to remove the items.
PC Rampersad, of the Freeport Criminal Investigations Department (CID), conducted further enquires which culminated in the arrests of HOSEIN, DULCHAN and BOODOO who were subsequently charged with ware house breaking and larceny.
