Three sus­pects were ar­rest­ed and two firearms seized by of­fi­cers dur­ing an­ti-crime ex­er­cis­es con­duct­ed in the Cen­tral and South­ern Di­vi­sions yes­ter­day.

In the first in­ci­dent, of­fi­cers of the Ch­agua­nas Po­lice Sta­tion Court and Process Branch were con­duct­ing an ex­er­cise in the Freeport dis­trict around 1:05 pm, on Mon­day 20th No­vem­ber, 2023, when they stopped a mo­tor ve­hi­cle with two male oc­cu­pants.

A search of the ve­hi­cle re­port­ed­ly re­sult­ed in the dis­cov­ery of a shot­gun.

The two sus­pects, both aged 26, of the Cou­va dis­trict were ar­rest­ed

in con­nec­tion with the find.

In the sec­ond in­ci­dent, of­fi­cers of the South­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force con­duct­ed an an­ti-crime ex­er­cise around 3:20 pm yes­ter­day, dur­ing which they ex­e­cut­ed a search war­rant at the Pleas­antville home of a 38-year-old man.

The search re­sult­ed in of­fi­cers find­ing al­leged­ly one Beretta pis­tol loaded with a mag­a­zine con­tain­ing 11 rounds of am­mu­ni­tion.

The sus­pect who was on the premis­es at the time of the search was ar­rest­ed in con­nec­tion with the find.

In­ves­ti­ga­tions are on­go­ing in­to the two in­ci­dents.
