Police arrested a man moments after robbing and assaulting a woman in Barataria on Sunday.

Three men were killed in sep­a­rate shoot­ings in east and west Trinidad be­tween Fri­day night and yes­ter­day morn­ing. 

Ac­cord­ing to re­ports, the first in­ci­dent oc­curred around 9 pm on Fri­day night at Ma­son Street in Diego Mar­tin. 

Aaron Shui Feng, of Yel­low Dri­ve, Riv­er Es­tate, Diego Mar­tin, was dri­ving his Nis­san AD wag­on along the road when gun­men shot at his ve­hi­cle. 

Shui Feng was shot sev­er­al times but the pas­sen­gers in his ve­hi­cle man­aged to es­cape un­scathed. 

Shui Feng was tak­en to hos­pi­tal and re­mained ward­ed un­til he suc­cumbed to his in­juries on Sat­ur­day evening. 

Short­ly af­ter Shui Feng’s shoot­ing, homi­cide de­tec­tives were sum­moned to the scene of an­oth­er in­ci­dent in Aranguez. 

Po­lice said that Has­san Mansano, of El So­cor­ro, was walk­ing near to a bar lo­cat­ed along Aranguez Main Road when he was shot sev­er­al times by a gun­man.

Mansano at­tempt­ed to run to­wards Bound­ary Road but col­lapsed along the road and suc­cumbed to his in­juries. 

As news of Mansano’s death cir­cu­lat­ed on so­cial me­dia, yes­ter­day, sev­er­al per­sons who knew him ex­pressed sad­ness. 

“I know this young man...It’s very sad when your moth­er dies and as young­sters, you are left to do what­ev­er you want with no su­per­vi­sion...May his soul RIP,” Su­san Charles post­ed. 

The third in­ci­dent oc­curred short­ly be­fore mid­night on Sat­ur­day night at Windy Hill, Arou­ca. 

Tracey “Rat­ty” Ot­t­ley, the own­er of a veg­etable and fruit stall in the com­mu­ni­ty, was shot sev­er­al times and died on the scene. 

The three mur­ders along with an­oth­er in south Trinidad raised the mur­der toll for the year to 14. 

In­ves­ti­ga­tions are con­tin­u­ing.
