The Po­lice Ser­vice says North East­ern, Cen­tral and South­ern Di­vi­sion of­fi­cers act­ed quick­ly on in­for­ma­tion and gath­ered per­ti­nent in­tel­li­gence, which re­sult­ed in the re­cov­ery of three stolen ve­hi­cles, over a 48-hour pe­ri­od this week.

In a me­dia re­lease the TTPS said last night of­fi­cers of the Cen­tral Di­vi­sion Task Force (CDTF) re­ceived a re­port of an aban­doned mo­tor ve­hi­cle bear­ing no reg­is­tra­tion plates parked along Dam Road, Long­denville.

Up­on ar­rival at the lo­ca­tion, the of­fi­cers ob­served the ve­hi­cle parked on the south­ern side of the road­way and its four doors, in­clud­ing the trunk, front and rear bumpers, fend­ers, all lights, bon­net cov­er miss­ing from the ve­hi­cle.

The ve­hi­cle’s chas­sis num­ber cor­re­spond­ed with a ve­hi­cle which was re­port­ed stolen from the Mara­bel­la Po­lice Dis­trict on the same date.

Po­lice said the said ve­hi­cle was wrecked and trans­port­ed to the Long­denville Po­lice Post for safe­keep­ing.

Of­fi­cers of the South­ern Di­vi­sion al­so re­cov­ered a stolen Kia Rio ve­hi­cle which was stolen from the garage of a home in Pointe-a-Pierre Road, Vista­bel­la.

Ac­cord­ing to the TTPS, al­so around 5:15 am on the same day based on in­for­ma­tion re­ceived, Ag/Sgt Mitchell and mem­bers of the Mor­vant Crim­i­nal In­ves­ti­ga­tions De­part­ment and North East­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force(NEDTF) pro­ceed­ed to Cas­cade Main Road, St Ann’s, based on in­for­ma­tion re­ceived rel­a­tive to a stolen Hyundai Elantra.
