The Police Service says North Eastern, Central and Southern Division officers acted quickly on information and gathered pertinent intelligence, which resulted in the recovery of three stolen vehicles, over a 48-hour period this week.
In a media release the TTPS said last night officers of the Central Division Task Force (CDTF) received a report of an abandoned motor vehicle bearing no registration plates parked along Dam Road, Longdenville.
Upon arrival at the location, the officers observed the vehicle parked on the southern side of the roadway and its four doors, including the trunk, front and rear bumpers, fenders, all lights, bonnet cover missing from the vehicle.
The vehicle’s chassis number corresponded with a vehicle which was reported stolen from the Marabella Police District on the same date.
Police said the said vehicle was wrecked and transported to the Longdenville Police Post for safekeeping.
Officers of the Southern Division also recovered a stolen Kia Rio vehicle which was stolen from the garage of a home in Pointe-a-Pierre Road, Vistabella.
According to the TTPS, also around 5:15 am on the same day based on information received, Ag/Sgt Mitchell and members of the Morvant Criminal Investigations Department and North Eastern Division Task Force(NEDTF) proceeded to Cascade Main Road, St Ann’s, based on information received relative to a stolen Hyundai Elantra.
