To­ba­go has one ba­by on Christ­mas Day, up to 5 30 pm on Fri­day.

Ac­cord­ing to a re­lease from the Di­vi­sion of Health, Well­ness, and Fam­i­ly De­vel­op­ment, Chris­tine Joseph-Lewis of Pa­tience Hill de­liv­ered her first child at the Scar­bor­ough Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal at 12:50 pm.

He weighed 2.983 kg.

The re­lease said Joseph -Lewis praised the ser­vice she re­ceived at the hos­pi­tal, say­ing it was "ex­cel­lent."

"The the­atre staff, the staff at Ma­ter­ni­ty, they were very sup­port­ive, car­ing, kind set of in­di­vid­u­als," the re­lease quot­ed the moth­er as say­ing.

Dur­ing a sim­ple cer­e­mo­ny, coun­cil­lor Tra­cy David­son Ce­les­tine, Sec­re­tary of Health, Well­ness, and Fam­i­ly De­vel­op­ment along with Dr. Vic­tor Wheel­er, Med­ical Chief of Staff and Sarah Ce­les­tine-Bal­four, Sec­ondary Care Nurs­ing Man­ag­er pre­sent­ed Joseph-Lewis with gifts.

Con­grat­u­lat­ing the moth­er on her de­liv­ery, David­son-Ce­les­tine told her: "It is im­por­tant that you keep your fam­i­ly to­geth­er be­cause a healthy fam­i­ly means a healthy To­ba­go…."

In keep­ing with COVID-19 re­stric­tions, no me­dia was al­lowed at the hos­pi­tal.
