The National Infrastructure Development Company Limited (NIDCO) has announced a temporary traffic arrangement along the Connector Road to the Elmina Clarke-Allen Highway, effective today. Traffic will be restricted to a single lane as stabilisation works begin on a section of the roadway.

According to NIDCO, the lane reduction is part of efforts to address recent slope slippage in the area. The temporary measure is intended to facilitate slope reinforcement and prevent further deterioration of the affected section. Permanent slope restoration and grading are also scheduled to take place.

The remediation works are expected to last for approximately three weeks.

NIDCO stated that the roadway remains open and safe for public use. However, commuters are advised to proceed with caution and to follow all safety protocols while travelling near the construction site.

The company has implemented temporary protective measures in the interim and outlined that the upcoming stages of work are designed to reduce future risks and improve long-term safety along the corridor.

NIDCO extended appreciation to the public for their patience and cooperation during the construction period.

The Corporate Communications Unit of NIDCO issued the release and noted that the organisation remains committed to completing the project in a timely manner.
