To­ba­go Trini­bad artiste Kalon­ji Arthur has been grant­ed $1 mil­lion bail af­ter ap­pear­ing vir­tu­al­ly be­fore a mag­is­trate yes­ter­day.

The 26-year-old, of Golds­bor­ough, is fac­ing six charges re­lat­ed to a dri­ve-by shoot­ing in Spey­side which left six peo­ple in­jured on May 4.

The charges in­clude wound­ing with in­tent, shoot­ing with in­tent, and pos­ses­sion of firearms and am­mu­ni­tion. The mat­ter has been sched­uled for hear­ing on Feb­ru­ary 26, 2025.

The ve­hi­cle in­volved in the shoot­ing was found aban­doned near De­laford. It be­longed to mur­der vic­tim Shon­nel Wal­ters-Joseph. 

Wal­ters-Joseph was laid to rest on Thurs­day af­ter­noon, a lit­tle over a week af­ter she was found dead over a precipice at Saw Mill Trace, Mt St George, hours af­ter the Spey­side shoot­ing.
