A man has been ar­rest­ed and a quan­ti­ty of co­caine and cash seized dur­ing an ex­er­cise con­duct­ed at the CARI­COM Jet­ty, Queens Wharf, Port of Spain, on Thurs­day af­ter­noon.

Ac­cord­ing to re­ports, of­fi­cers of the Spe­cial­ized In­tel­li­gence Unit and Port Po­lice De­part­ment were con­duct­ing checks when they ob­served the dri­ver of a ve­hi­cle act­ing sus­pi­cious­ly.

A search was con­duct­ed and a quan­ti­ty of co­caine wrapped in a black bag was dis­cov­ered, along with TT$7,500 in cash.

The items were seized and the dri­ver of the ve­hi­cle ar­rest­ed.

In­ves­ti­ga­tions are on­go­ing.
