A 23-year-old Tunapuna man was shot dead while standing outside his home on Saturday afternoon. Police said Kendell Beharrysingh was standing near his family’s Green Street, Tunapuna home, at around 5.45 pm when a white Nissan AD Wagon drove up to him. Gunmen shot Beharrysingh several times before driving off.
Beharrysingh tried to run away from his attackers but collapsed nearby. Officers of the North Central Division Task Force were called in and rushed Beharrysingh to hospital where he was declared dead at around 6.18 pm. Officers of the Special Evidence Recovery Unit (SERU) visited the scene and found several spent 9 mm shells. Police from the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region II are continuing enquiries.
